COVID-19 Safety Guidelines for Patrons

Community safety remains the Vancouver Fringe Theatre Society’s top priority. We have formed our policies using the guidance and recommendations of the most current information from the Public Health Agency of Canada, HealthLink BC, and the BC Centre for Disease Control.

This information will be continuously updated with any new information or guidelines.

We ask that you do not come to any in-person Fringe events if you:

Have any of the following symptoms:
-Fever
-Chills
-New or worsening cough
-Shortness of breath
-New muscle aches or headache
-Sore throat
Have travelled outside of Canada in the last 14 days
Are a close contact of a person who has tested positive for COVID-19

We recommend all ticketholders take the BC COVID-19 Self-Check prior to arrival to ensure that they are not exhibiting any symptoms of COVID-19.

Before you arrive:

-Please help us maintain a safe theatre experience by purchasing online
-Plan to bring a mask

When you arrive:

Arrive Early
We recommend arriving at least 30 minutes before a show starts to safely check in and make your way to your seat.

Wear a Mask
We require you to wear a mask at all times while you’re moving around the venue. Once you’re at your seat, we strongly encourage masks to remain on unless you’re enjoying a beverage.

Maintain Social Distance
To keep yourself, volunteers, and Fringe staff safe, please maintain a distance of 2m (~6ft) from others who are not in your bubble.

Maintain Good Hygiene
Help stop the spread of germs! We encourage you to sanitize and/or wash your hands. We will be providing sanitizing stations around the venue for your use.

Check-in Process
Patrons do not require a physical ticket or membership for entry. Each group will be checked-in by a Fringe team member electronically. Please be prepared to provide your name, contact information, and sign a Waiver of Liability.

At-door Tickets
If you are buying tickets at the door, please consider a contactless method of payment.

We require the cooperation of all Festival patrons, staff, volunteers, and artists to ensure a safe theatre experience for everyone. Our team reserves the right to remove any individual found to be non-compliant with our Health and Safety policies and procedures. If you have any questions, please contact info@vancouverfringe.com.
