In their undiscovered personal letters spanning half a century, up to November 2020, we see their awkward friendship wax and wane in letters that borrow liberally (not conservatively) from Trump and Clinton's actual public dialogue. Passenger Seat is a hybrid theatre-concert. This surreal production combines pantomime, projection mapping, and larger than life moving props. The story centers around The Mover as he begins unpacking in a new space. As objects begin to animate and play with his head, he finds himself falling deeper into the world of his subconscious.

The Library Performance Collective: Passenger Seat

Passenger Seat is a hybrid theatre-concert. Written and sung and choreographed and devised and seen and felt and heard and erased and re-written by Arthi Chandra, Howard Dai, Isabella Halladay, Hannah Meyers, Thule Van Den Dam, and Montserrat Videla-Samper. This piece started out as a capsule of Arthi being queer and 17, and has shifted into a semi-rock-pop series of songs and stories that pay homage to feeling feelings. Aesthetic: Pink, blue, purple, glitter, sweat, tears, other angsty things.

The Neverland Night Circus

"Come away with me." You hesitate... But who doesn't want to run away with the circus? You escape to a big top lost outside of time, an ephemeral spectacle that springs up every night at dusk in an explosion of music and glitter, only to disappear again as sunbeams crawl over the morning horizon. Audience members will follow that perpetual boy to meet scintillating mermaids, beautiful fairies, and the hopeful Wendy, deciding as she does whether to stay in Neverland... or to fly away home.

To celebrate the return of The Vancouver Fringe Festival during these times of constant change and uncertainty, we will close off this year's festivities with a fresh new concept that combines...constant change and uncertainty! Featuring music, dance, theatre, comedy and a whole lot of improvisation, Vancouver Fringe: Remixed and Remastered will showcase selected standout acts from this year's Fringe, inviting performers to collaborate on three minute improvised summaries of their act with Hip Hop instrumentalist Sam Chimes AKA @OneChimes, host Omari Newton AKA @OmariAkilNewton and dancers from prolific Vancouver dance crew "Immigrant Lessons" @ImmigrantLessons. This closing night celebration will also feature prizes, surprises, booze and much more.
